Sorry Folks
Hello All,
It has been a very busy couple of weeks. We are in the process of building a house on the other side of the state. It is pretty time consuming to get things in order. I will post later today some new recipes and some other items that I have been working on. Hope you all have a good day.

Part 3
Below you will find my reclaimed produce for today. I actually got all the potatoes yesterday but didn't have a chance to put the photo up.
The jar of juice is lime juice that I squeezed by hand. This will be turned into lime curd. Im so excited to make this stuff. I will post photo and recipe once that is complete. This girl is tired so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Part 2
Here is the recipe for Apple Butter in the Crockpot
Apple Butter
A bunch of apples of your choice (I just filled the crockpot up)
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Honey (or sweetener of your choice)
Peel, core, and chop the apples of your choice. Put them in the crockpot and sprinkle with cinnamon and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
I did not put any honey on mine. In fact I added no sugar at all. Cook on low for at least five hours in the crockpot.
After about 5 hours you want to stir. If the apples are soft and mushy, they are done.
I turn off the crockpot and let the apples sit for a bit. I then move them into a blender and give them a quick blend. This is the time that I would love to have a stick blender.
After this step you want to either can it or put it in freezer jam containers.
More Photos will be posted once the apple butter is complete. Enjoy.

Chick 2/27/2013
Hello All,
Been a little busy on the farm lately. We have had a sitting hen for about 21 days and yesterday I looked under her to find a baby chick. It is so super exciting as this is our first batch of hatching eggs. The baby chick is so cute. Hopefully by the weekend we will have some more babies. :)
